Help Influence Energy Legislation that will promote the use of Window Film Products.

Key energy legislation that would directly encourage the use of window film products is currently underway in the United States Congress and we need your help to write to your local Senator and express your support for this legislation.

Window film is now recognized as a legitimate energy saving retrofit product and having it included in the new energy legislation that is currently being written would mean a huge opportunity for window film sales in every state.

Solar Gard has been working hard for many months with the rest of the IWFA manufacturers committee to lobby Washington and now we need the help of every dealer in the US to be sure that every Senator will push for this to happen.

TAKE ACTION NOW - TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

1)  Write a letter or send an e-mail to your U.S. Senators with your comments. Please feel free to use our sample text (Word) in your letter or e-mail.  Be sure to remind your Senators that you are a concerned constituent, and would like to hear back from them in writing regarding your correspondence.  Call (202) 224-3121 or www.senate.gov to find your Senators in Washington, DC. 

To make it easier, we have provided two sample letters for your use complete with the names of your two local senators and their fax numbers on the top of the page. All you need to do is:

  • Print the two letters and sign and fax the letters directly to the two senators using the FAX number provided for each Senator.

BACKGROUND: The United States Congress and President Obama are working to develop and enact federal policies that directly impact our livelihoods.  Specifically, our leaders in Washington, DC remain committed in 2010 to drafting, passing and implementing federal legislation that aims to encourage energy efficiency; specifically, policies that could incentivize retrofits for energy and environmental performance (i.e., window film products). 

Federal legislation now being prepared in Congress hold tremendous hope and opportunity for our industry, and we must act immediately to ensure our voices are heard loud and clear.

Your help is needed to educate our elected officials about the value and benefits of a window film tax credit!!!
