Carmel was experiencing discomfort from excessive heat through a large east-facing window at her home during Victoria\u2019s warmer months. The western side of her house is also prone to discomfort as it is exposed to the sun\u2019s afternoon intense heat.\u00a0In addition to the solar heat issues, the close proximity to the street of her front windows raised privacy concerns.<\/p>\n
Carmel consulted with Alpine Tint\u2019s Chris Wingard who recommended Solar Gard Silver 20 for its privacy factor and high heat rejection which would transform her front windows and provide the freedom she wanted. Now the film has been installed Carmel tells us she just loves the way it looks. \u201cThe increased privacy means that I can leave the blinds open during the day without people looking in as they walk past. And the considerable reduction in discomfort when the hot afternoon sun is blaring through the windows has rendered the rooms more useable at that time of day.\u201d
\n\u201cIt\u2019s only been a couple of weeks since the summer installation\u201d says Carmel, \u201cbut I have\u00a0already noticed a significant reduction in the heat in my rooms.\u201d<\/p>\n
